Why CallSelect360

Testing that looks like the job.

  1. 01

    Shaped by agency directors

Built from what 9-1-1 agency directors told us they want from candidate testing today, and still being shaped by them.

  2. 02

The job, not a quiz marathon

Candidates take calls, enter CAD details, read a map, and handle interruptions. It is the work itself, in one focused sitting of roughly 30 minutes.

  3. 03

    Straightforward pricing

One clear price for your agency, set out up front. Request a demo and we will give you the number.

Multitasking under pressure

Interruptions, priority, and response timing

While a candidate works, radio updates and waiting calls break in, the way they do on the dispatch floor. The candidate picks the service and priority, or the call to handle first, then gets back to the task. Every assessment except Typing includes them, and they are reported separately from the main scores.

Your agency sets the rules

Your standards. Your settings.

Every center hires differently. Managers set the times, the weights, and the pass marks themselves, and every candidate keeps the rules they were tested under — so changing a setting never changes an earlier result.

  • Time limits

Choose how long candidates get for each assessment, from a short screen to a longer look.

  • What counts most

Weight each assessment in the overall score so the result reflects the skills your center values.

    A weight for every assessment

  • Pass marks

Set an overall minimum, a minimum for any assessment, and your own typing speed and accuracy requirements.

  • Interruptions and priority

Add radio updates and call-queue decisions during the assessments to see priority judgment and response time. Switch them on or off for each candidate.

  • Remote or in house

Send a one-time link, or start the test on a computer at your center. Either way the candidate needs no account.

And you see how the test was taken. Results show the time each candidate was given, note when a candidate left the test page, and keep a recording of the scenario call for you to play back.

The story

Built for 9‑1‑1 agencies. Inspired by the people who lead them.

CallSelect360 began with a simple conversation. Several 9-1-1 center directors came to us looking for an alternative to traditional hiring assessments. They wanted more than another testing platform. They wanted a voice in the process, and the flexibility to choose assessments that reflect the skills their agencies actually need.

So, we listened.

We sat down with 9-1-1 center leaders, talked through the challenges of evaluating candidates, and learned what they wanted from a modern pre-employment assessment. Their feedback shaped our vision, and we got to work building something different.

With over 30 years of combined experience in the 9-1-1 industry, our team understands the demands of emergency communications, the importance of selecting qualified personnel, and what agencies face when hiring the next generation of telecommunicators.

Questions

CallSelect360 FAQ

Do candidates need an account?

No. You add the candidate in your agency dashboard and send a one-time link, or start the test on a computer at your center. The candidate takes the assessments and you get the results.

How long does the assessment take?

Roughly 30 minutes in one focused sitting. Your agency sets the time limit for each assessment, so a short screen and a longer look are both possible.

Can we set our own pass marks?

Yes. Set an overall minimum, a minimum for any assessment, and your own typing speed and accuracy requirements, and weight each assessment in the overall score. Every candidate keeps the rules they were tested under, so changing a setting never changes an earlier result.

What happens when a candidate retests?

A retest draws different calls, dictation, and a different map from rotating banks, so it is a different version every sitting. Earlier sittings stay on record.

Can you build an assessment we do not see here?

Yes. Tell us the skill your center wants to measure, from memory recall and cross-referencing to something only your agency does. Our team builds it, and it runs, scores, and reports alongside the rest.

Is CallSelect360 part of the PSS360 training login?

No. CallSelect360 is built for 9-1-1 agency hiring and has its own agency sign-in at callselect360.com. The PSS360 training simulators — Typing360, Dispatch360, and Guardian360 — are for academies and CTE programs training people once they are in the seat.
